La Ride de Filles – A message from Melissa Harrison

Proud of Mansonville and my entourage. I was well surrounded to have accomplished a success of this event. Thank you to Dave Oakley and SUZUKI and his huge contribution to the cause. He offered drinks to all 500+ in attendance and donated a whopping 1500$ to the cause. Thank you Allan Whitehead and Josie for having provided a delicious meal to all. Thanks to Mario from Travaux Publique for having taken care of of the cancer ribbon made of all of our participants that people will talk about for years to come The use of the 243 parking lot and Mathieu Laplume who made it perfect for the bikes. Thank you to the fire department for ALL the safety to all participants. We were very well taken care of and felt in complete safety the whole time. Dave and la sirène rouge for an outstanding performance. Their time provided solely for the cause. The CABMN for having provided wonderful volunteers for having placed and taken down all the tables and chairs. The town who helped me from the beginning to make sure every little aspect was taken care of and saw your presence throughout. Michael Laplume the mayor for helping pass this project and especially Bruno Côté for having your force and knowledge to make this thing happen. I felt your passion from you both to make events like this come to life. Thanks to my boyfriend Jean-Francois Giroux for supporting me through all my crazy ideas and this year surpassing my expectation and really having my back. And my beautiful mother in law Suzette St-onge who has a heart of gold and was there when I couldn’t be. It takes a village and I’m so proud of mine. And a HUGE thank you to the commitee of the RDF for giving me the confidence to push my limits and letting me plan the lunch in Mansonville. Mélanie Lebreux, Michel-Papidou Cote, Sylvie Brisebois, Lulu Hughes. You surpass yourselves every year and make me feel we can conquer the world together All good things were said of our time in Mansonville and I’m so proud of my beautiful town and proud to have shown our area to all these people. 217,000$ raised so far. We have all come together for one thing. It’s awareness. I hope it left a mark in Mansonville. Cause Mansonville has left a mark on the ride de Filles.
